The service was so friendly and the lechon blew my mind. It was perfectly crispy and crunchy on the outside, super tender and juicy in the inside. The vinegar sauce perfectly cut the fattiness and balanced out the dish. So happy to have authentic lechon in Duluth.

Service has been great ever since the new owners took over. Food came out quicker and was really good. We've ordered catering from them and all our guests have commented on how good the food is.

Came here based off a recommendation from my wife's Filipino friend and decided to check them out while we were in Duluth. We asked the cashier who was the owner for some recommendations and she was very helpful in making some great choices. The food dishes were excellent! We got two entrees, an appetizer, and a Filipino drink. Tip: try adding some of the hot sauce (available upon request) and sweet sauce (dipping sauce for the Lumpiang) to the main entrees for extra flavor!

I came here on recommendation from a woman who lives on the property that I manage, who said that Kuya's Food Express is much better than another Filipino restaurant that is located in Doraville. Kuya's Food Express is located in the food court at City Farmer's Market on Pleasant Hill Road in Duluth, GA. City Farmer's Market has a very large and free parking lot, so parking is always available. Signage on the outside of the City Farmer's Market indicate the food court entrance. The food court has many stalls featuring Chinese, Vietnamese, Peruvian, Filipino and Hispanic cuisine, and there are many tables with chairs spread throughout the food court for customers to sit wherever they choose to dine. We came here for a late Friday lunch. Kuya's Food Express had the longest lines of customers waiting to place their orders and to pick up their food. Waiting in line gave me a chance to figure out what I wanted to order. R ordered the pansit and I ordered the pork lumpia to share and the pork adobo. After I paid the employee gave me my receipt and a restaurant pager/beeper that went off when our food was ready. We had a 15 minute wait for that to happen. We picked up our food at the counter and it all looked delicious - a small bowl of pork adobo, a plate of rice, a plate with a big portion of pansit, and a plate with six lumpia and a small dipping cup of sweet chili sauce. I didn't try the pansit, but R said that it was good. The pork adobo tasted close to the way my mom and other relatives cooked it; the only difference was that Kuya's makes their adobo with more vinegar and less soy sauce and bay leaf than I'm used to. If you've never tried pork adobo before, don't order this dish if you don't like pork skin/fat included in your food because both of these are included. I was full after eating the pork adobo and rice, with the adobo sauce spooned all over my rice. I loved the pork lumpia, fried crispy and dipped in the sweet chili sauce. If I was alone, I could make two orders of lumpia my meal. These were so good! The prices at Kuya's were overall okay for what we got. At the $18.99 price point, I would've expected a bigger portion of the pork adobo meat and less skin/fat. We may try more Filipino dishes if we make it out to Duluth, GA, but we rarely drive out this way.

Another dinner at Kuya's. There are 17 of us for this fellowship. Amazing that Patrick was able to provide quick delivery and no mistakes with anybodies order. If you do now know, Kuya's is located in The City Farmers Market in the food court in Duluth. Since we got here at 8:00pm, we had the food court for ourselves As always, I love this place. Patrick is awesome! You need to try Kuya's Food Express

My second time here and I've grown more in love with this place. This time around we ordered their seafood special of sweet and sour fish, tokwa't baboy (fried tofu and pork), sizzling sisig, ginataan, pork lumpia and turon. We didn't wait long for our food to arrive. The sweet and sour fish brought me back home to the homeland. You do share the space with other diners at the food court, but it's worth trying if you're in the area and want Filipino food.

Im all for supporting Filipino businesses! Kuya's is small yet impeccable! The service I've gotten is always great and the food is always freshly made! The wait time for prep can be lengthy, but the restaurant is located in a food court of an Asian market, so you can shop around while you wait on your food. The friendliness of the staff and great food make the drive to duluth from buckhead so worth it every time!

Kuya's was a godsend when I first moved to Gwinnett County 4 years ago. Estrellita was too far and didn't have the best parking for regular visits, Kamayan was not open yet (still haven't tried them), Manila Mart had limited items during the pandemic, so Kuya's was really my go-to for Filipino comfort foods for take-out. Over the years I have supported this business and the food and service has been consistently great. However, a few months ago I tried ordering Uber Eats from here. I was pleasantly surprised to see them on the app as they were not on there for the years previously to my knowledge. I know they have undergone new management and new staff preparing the meals. I believe I have had at least one meal from them since the change. This time was different though. I ordered my usual items - lumpia, pancit, pinakbet, and Halo Halo. The lumpia and Halo Halo were both good and about the same I've been used to. However, the pancit and pinakbet had really no meat to be seen. I'm not sure if they've gone a more vegetarian route or why this was the case, but as someone who is used to the traditional pork and shrimp in the dishes, I was very sad to see none. Because of this, the meal was also greatly lacking in the flavor and seasoning I'm used to. It was still a decent meal, but I've never had vegetarian pancit or pinakbet - there might have been traces of meat but nothing visible or discernible. It was not my favorite way to have both dishes. I'm still a supporter of Kuya's and will still try them again, but I would hope that for the meat lovers/traditional taste buds they would not skimp on meat in the future. If you look to my old review you will see the huge difference in the dishes from old chef to new. In any case, it is still the closest Filipino restaurant to me and I have not seen better competition in the area yet, but I will try Kamayan hopefully soon and see how it goes. I cannot speak to any recent ambiance changes as I have not been down in person in several months.

My partner & I had a weekend trip to GA & we def wanted some Filipino food for our trip. We were so glad we found this place! Located inside City Farmers Market, you'll see tons of food stalls that's majority Asian food. Since my partner is Filipino himself, he's very particular with certain dishes. As we browsed through their menu so far we liked what we see, & for the price point it wasn't too bad. We ordered their lumpia shanghai, pork sisig, pancit palabok, & pork bbq skewers. My favorite dish was the pork sisig! The crispy pork, rich liver pâté, sautéed onions & the creamy mayo & over easy egg blended together in perfect harmony; creating the most savory sizzling dish. He was craving something with shrimp, & the palabok def hit the spot!
